First Aid

Aid [eyd] - to give support, help or assist
 
 
First Aid is there to:
  • Promote Recovery
  • Preserve Life
  • Prevent the condition from worsening
 
It is important that you have the right number of employees trained to satisfy the needs of your business.
 
The law is changing in October 2009
 
The Changes that have been made are as follows:
  • The 4 Day First Aid at Work is now 3 Days!
  • The Emergency First Aid couse now has to be run by an HSE Approved Centre (which Saracen is)
  • It is recommended that you have a half day refresher every year for all courses.
 
There are other changes, however as am employer or employee these are the main changes that you need to know about.

Extensive work with dangerous machinery or sharp instruments
